Mr. James F. Bodie, Sr. age 76 of Barbourville, was born in Aiken, SC on August 3, 1943 to the late Oscar M. and Lena Fulmer Bodie and departed this life on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at his home.
He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed Church, Fishing, working on Vehicles, and time with family and friends. He was always happy to lend a helping hand.
In addition to his parents, his first wife: Betty Jo Bodie; a stepdaughter: Vonda Willis; and 2 brothers: Glen Bodie and Eugene Bodie preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife: Brenda Bodie of Barbourville; his children: Della Brewer and husband Harry of Chappells, SC, Linda Bodie, James Bodie and wife Michelle, and Carl Bodie and Lynn Miller all of Greenwood, SC; stepchildren: Melissa Deaton, Conner Deaton, McKenna Deaton, Casey Reeves, Shaun Deaton, Samantha Deaton, and Kaitlin Deaton all of Barbourville; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family.
