Quincy Timothy Collins Jr., son of Ollie Bailey and Quincy Collins Sr. was born October 26, 1950, in Mobile Alabama. Quincy departed this life on Saturday September 14, 2019.
Quincy attended school public schools in mobile and graduated from Central High School. He attended Xavier University of New Orleans, La, receiving his Bachelor's degree in English May 1973. He later attended Purdue University. He was united in holy matrimony to Shirley Wooden in October 1974. This union was blessed with 4 children.

Quincy attended St. James Catholic Church where he taught Sunday school. Quincy was employed with the Clark County School District as an English teacher for 33 years. Quincy loved teaching and taught at Chaparral, Green Valley and Silverado high schools, where he was an advisor to many clubs and organizations. He enjoyed listening to music especially to Aretha Franklin, Mahalia Jackson and Shirley Caesar. Quincy had a large music collection, including vinyl albums and 45's. He also loved entertaining and eating out and with friends.

Quincy leaves to mourn his children: Hope, Sharon, Quincy III, Michael and Jade Collins all of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sisters, Gloriadine Nettles and Barbara Jean Collins and Brother Anthony Collins, all of Mobile Alabama. He will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Bailey Collins and Quincy Collins, Sr.; Grandparents, Narcillar Jones and Searcy Bailey; sisters; Virginia King, and Geraldine Collins; brothers, Raymond, David and Joseph Collins.
