Visitation will be Thursday, 5-8 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The Funeral Service will be Friday, September 27, at First Baptist Church in Stevenson officiated by Bro. Josh Posey. Interment will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL.
Mr. Maples had worked as a coal miner who loved hunting, fishing and farming.
Survivors include his wife Lynn McMahan Maples; children: Bruce (Danielle) Maples of Bryant, AL, Michael Maples of Flat Rock, AL, Matthew (Brooke) Maples of Ooltewah, TN and Kassidy Maples of Stevenson, AL; grandchildren: Olivia Maples, Luke Maples and Blake Maples; sister Andra Smith of Louisiana.
