Doris Jean (Ray) Gregory, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. She was born on June 14, 1932 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late Bert and Gertrude Ray.

She retired from Stellar Molded Products where she was also a union steward. Doris married the love of her of her life, Jesse Gregory, in 1949. She was an avid golfer and was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Highland where she enjoyed helping with the Fall Festival Booth. Doris adored her family and loved doting on her grandchildren who she especially enjoyed taking to Holiday World.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Sheila Symreng (Tommy); son, Duane Gregory (Debra); grandchildren, Faith Deffendoll, Lindsey Mooneyhan, and Ryan Gregory; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Treyce Stanley, Kaleb Denney, Benjamin Deffendoll, and Jackson, Jay and Jesse Mooneyhan; and great-great-grandchild, Bentley Stanley.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday September 27, 2019 at Alexander East Chapel with Rev. Brian Buschkill officiating. Entombment will follow at Park Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may visit Thursday 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Published in Courier Press, September 25, 2019.
