Jean Marie Mills, 92, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away on October 13, 2018 peacefully at Heath Village. Jean was born on October 18, 1925 in Morristown, NJ to the late W. Franklin Eirich, Sr and Laura Marie Eirich. She has lived at Heath Village in Hackettstown for the past 18 years and lived the majority of her life in Chester, NJ. Jean was a retired mom, Sunday School Teacher, Nurse, Nana and Nana-Nana.
Jean enjoyed playing Monopoly, Pokeno, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved reading, especially the Bible. Jean also liked to practice Thai Chi and tending to her plants.
Jean is survived by her children, Donald Daniel Mills, Jr. and wife Jeanne, Gail Marie Newton and husband William, Jean Dawn Miller and husband Craig, her grandchildren, Amanda Beth Kamen, Matthew David Eckert, Kelly Allison Hase, Sean Allen Miller, Marc Samuel Miller, Gregory Daniel Mills, Heather Lynn Mills and Christopher Alan Mills, and her great grandchildren, Finn Chamberlain Eckert, Murphy Mills Eckert, Garrett George Eckert, Keira Bailey Hase, Maya Brook Hase, Merissa Elysa Winepol, Jonathon Bo Winepol, Melody Raine Winepol, Kelsey Alexandria Winepol, Ricky Jr. Winepol, Joshua Mills, Eziekel Mills, and Alyssa Christine Mills, and Jean's caretaker and friend, Velma, who cared for Jean for 11 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald D. Mills, Sr., Son, Jack Mills, and brothers, W. Franklin Eirich, Jr. and James Eirich.
A Celebration of Jean's Life will include a visitation on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 11am to 11:30am follow by an 11:30am service at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.
