George Stanley McDaniel, age 67 of Locust Grove, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mr. McDaniel was born August 23, 1951, son of the late Arthur & Mary McDaniel. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. McDaniel attended UGA and worked for McDaniel & Shultz Mechanical for many years. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Arthur McDaniel; sister, Lynn McDaniel and son, Christian Davis McDaniel.
Survivors include his children, Chey & Mandy McDaniel of Griffin, Kirk & Jennifer McDaniel of Griffin and daughter, Chelsea Avery of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Kerri Jean McDaniel of Pittsburg, PA; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephew, Darlene, Amanda & Kevin Chitwood.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. George Stanley McDaniel will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Westwood Gardens with Pastor John Nance officiating. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Rd. in Griffin is assisting with the arrangements.
