Robert J. Hester passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Patricia who preceded him in death. Dear brother of Lemuel B. Hester and his wife, Ingrid; dear brother in-law to Nancy Schulte (Paul) and Charles Williams; dear father of Pamela McKay, Shelly Schroeder (Jeff), Debbie Kleve (Mark), and Angie Nichols (Eric). Dear grandfather to Nicholas Blasi, Aaron Blasi (Karlee), Monica Franke (David), Lauren Schindler (Dan), Lauren Bommarito (Dave), Lindsay Simpson (Jonathan), Melissa Schroeder, Brad Nichols, Matt Nichols, and Cameron Nichols; and great grandfather to Connor, Jack, Ben, Frankie, Elliott, Rosie and Levi, our dear uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many.
Robert was also a Captain in the USMC (Ret.) and Vietnam war veteran.
Services: Visitation at Kutis Funeral Home 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis MO 63129. Thursday, September 26, 4-8 P.M. Funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 27 at Kutis Funeral Home immediately followed by Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
