Cash (Moss, Wilson), Carol Louise 7/30/1930 - 9/10/2019 Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at the age of 89. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merrill T. Moss; and two brothers, James and Charles. She is survived by daughters, Dianna Alaniz; Valarie (Vicki) Prough (Don); and Teena Comstock (Don); as well as five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and extended family. She is also survived by her friends, Becky Rogers, and family, who helped her tremendously in her later years before she moved in with her daughter in 2015. Carol was the daughter of James and Dorothy Wilson, born in 1930, in Jackson. She graduated in 1948 from Jackson High School, and in 1950 married her husband, Merrill. In 1963 Carol was hired by the owner of Manpower Temporary Services, to open the Jackson branch of Manpower. She started this enterprise in the basement of her home, and continued to grow the business and moved to larger office spaces, designing the last and current location herself. She retired in 1989. Carol enjoyed working with the community, particularly as a band parent at East Jackson High School, and with the United Way. She was president of the Business and Professional Women's club in 1981 and named Women of the Year for that organization in 1984. She was vice president of the Rose Festival committee, editarian for the Breakfast Rotary and member of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce. She was honored in 1988 by being presented with the Athena Award, the third recipient of this award in Jackson. Services will be held at Wetherby Funeral Home on Monday, September 16 at 1:00 pm, with visitation at 12:00 (noon) until the time of Service. Interment will be at Roseland Cemetery following the service.
