Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wilson chapel in Eagle Grove for Chris Anderson, 65, who passed away at his home early Sunday morning. Death was caused by a heart attack. Rev. R. R. Kessinger was in charge of the services.

Chris A. Anderson, son of Peter and Francine Hanson Anderson was born October 31, 1884 at Goldfield, Iowa and passed away very suddenly at his home on April 14, 1951; having reached the age of 66 years, 5 months and 13 days. His early childhood was spent on the farm; and he attended country schools near Goldfield. He was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On December 12, 1904 he was united in marriage to Bessie Titler at Marengo, Iowa and to this union four children were born. They have made Goldfield their home for these many years and during his lifetime Mr. Anderson has followed a variety of different occupations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Ruth, and one infant son, Donald. Also two sisters and one brother. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Bessie, and one daughter, Vera, now Mrs. Raymond J. Lester of Goldfield; one son, Harry of Marathon, Iowa. Five sisters, Jessie of Eagle Grove, Mrs. C. R. Freeman of Des Moines, Mrs. Clyde Westbrook of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. O. P. Duroche of Des Moines, and Mrs. Donald Meyers of St. Paul, Minn. One brother, Millard of Des Moines. Also four grandchildren and other relatives survive.

Services were held Wednesday April 18, 1951 at the Wilson Funeral Chapel, Eagle Grove, Iowa with Rev. Robert R. Kessinger of Goldfield, Iowa officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Glenwood cemetery, Goldfield, Iowa.
