Loretta Louise Klein was born on Dec. 3, 1916, in Overton, Neb., to Leopold and Louise Mazanec, and passed away, at peace, into God's loving arms on Sept. 8, 2006. She was married to the late Alfred H. Klein for 43 years and is survived by their children, Jeanene (Klein) Euhus and son-in-law, Milton Euhus of Yuma, Ariz., Jerald Klein and daughter-in-law Julia Klein of Ouray, Colo., Donna Klein of Colorado Springs, Colo., David Klein and daughter-in-law, Margaret Klein of Valencia, and Robert Klein and daughter-in-law Doris Klein of Napa. She was the loving grandmother of Mark Euhus, Curt Euhus, David Euhus, Sherri (Klein) Knight, Rex Klein, Rusty Klein, Julia Youngblood, Cathy Rougier, Shelly Klein, Jonathan Klein, Pam Klein, Megan (Klein) Smith, and Lindsey (Klein) Theobald. In addition, she had 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A brother, Leo Mazanec (Bernece) and sister, Erma Wyckoff, of Lexington, Neb., also survive her.

Loretta was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and had a sparkling sense of humor and a generous and helpful spirit. Born the sixth of 10 brothers and sisters, she learned to appreciate the gift of family at an early age and was a blessing to all who knew her. She worked for Mountain Bell in Denver for many years before retiring in 1982. At that time, she relocated to California and was a resident of Fairfield and Napa for her remaining years. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Napa where she volunteered for the Lutheran Braille Workers. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed painting, crocheting, many crafts and traveling.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. Memorial gifts may be given to Lutheran Braille Workers in care of St. John's Lutheran Church, 3521 Linda Vista Ave., Napa.
