Lloyd Z. Hedden, of Canton passed away on Friday April 28, 2017 at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton. He was born on August 23, 1918, in Canton to Jack T. and Esther (Boman) Hedden. He married Margaret Baxter on July 5, 1940 in Canton.

Surviving are 3 children Pam (Rick) Sanford, of The Villages, FL, Peggy (Martin) Buskirk, of Canton, and Susan (Gordon) Freeman, of Canton, one brother Virgil Hedden, one sister Colleen Hinderliter, Six grandchildren Joe (Missy Porter) Buskirk, Kris (Matt) Longenecker, Jennifer (Matt) Kees, Matt (Jaymie) Freeman, Amanda (Justin) Jochums, and Jessica (Jason) Tremain, and twenty two great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, three brother, one sister, and one great grandchild.

Lloyd retired from International Harvester as a machine repairman , he was a United States Army Veteran serving for four years in World War II., he was a member of the Canton American Legion and the Canton VFW, he was a member of the N.R.A. and The Smithfield Gun Club.

A funeral was held on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Burial with military honors was held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.

Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or the Smithfield Gun Club.
