Daughter of Robert R. And Kathleen (Leger) Chastain .She is survived by her parents, partner David Heffington and son Jackson ;sisters Cayle(Jason) Buckingham, Vallie (Larry) Kuster and brothers Luke(Michelle) Chastain,Danny Chastain along with her nieces and nephews ,aunts ,uncles,cousins and many friends.
Callie graduated from Central Decatur High School went on to earn her bachlor's degree from the University of Iowa and Masters Degree from California State University Monterey. She worked as a senior analyst at the College of Business at CSUMB.
Callie loved to travel ,hike,golf,scuba dive ,camp and spend time with David and their son Jackson and her family. Callie's travels took her to places in England, ,France,Belgium, Germany ,Spain and China where she met many new friends.
Callie had a zest for life . She was beloved by many and will be sadly missed.
A memorial service was held on July 5th at the Leon Country Club. The University has established the Callie Chastain Memorial fund to benefit her son Jackson.
