Virginia, "Nini", Ligget Reinhardt, age 98, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2019. She was the matriarch and last surviving member of her immediate family of 2 sisters and 1 brother. Nini grew up in Haverford and attended Agnes Irwin School where she excelled at many sports. She also loved to play golf and in 1936 achieved Junior Champion at Merion Golf Club. Nini later enjoyed summers with her family as members of the Edgemere Club in the Poconos. She raised her family in Wayne and was very active at St. Martin's Church in Radnor where she taught Sunday school and was on the alter guild for the last 40 years. Nini worked at the Villanova and Gateway Cheese Shops for many years, and after the passing of her husband Jim in 1981, started volunteering for the Bryn Mawr Hospital where she still worked until recent months.
Nini was daughter of the late Robert William and Helen Cope Ligget, and wife of the late James B. Reinhardt. She is survived by four children, Robert or Sandy and (Beverly) Reinhardt, Howard (Debbie) Reinhardt, Sallie Herwig, and Louise (Steve) Pancott and preceded in death by the recent passing of her son James Bond Jr. (Terry) (1947-2018) Nini is also survived by thirteen adoring grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson Jason James Reinhardt. (1974-1976) Nini will be greatly missed by all her family and all that knew her. She had a gift of making anyone she met feel special and was always the life of the party.
James Bond Reinhardt is the son of Henry Brown Reinhardt and Helen Jane Ogier. James Bond Reinhardt married Viriginia Merrick Ligget, daughter of Robert William Ligget and Helen Cope Ritter, on Monday, 17 May 1943 at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, Overbrook, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
