BRYANT LAMONT YOUNG, son of Valinda Clara Young and the late Gordon Lewis Young Sr., was born January 21, 1974 in Baltimore, Maryland. Bryant departed life on the evening of June 11, 2019. Bryant grew up in Dundalk, Maryland and was raised by both parents as a baby/young child and then later in life by his mother. Bryant first graduated from Johns Hopkins Peabody Preparatory School in 1988 as a pianolist. He was the “Piano Boy” for the Jordon Kitts Music Store at Golden Ring Mall from 1985-1986. He graduated from high school as the “Scholar of the Year” and was presented with the school’s highest academic award, “The Medalon” in 1992 for foreign languages. In 1997, he graduated from Morgan State University and received the chairperson award for “Outstanding Achievement in Chemistry.” In 2010, Morgan State University presented Bryant with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his success in chemistry as a Patent Attorney. He also graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2005 and received his Juris Doctor degree in law. In July 2006, he was sworn in at the District Court in Washington, D.C. after passing the D.C. bar exam. Bryant became a member of the Federal Court of Appeals shortly thereafter. Bryant had a long, extensive work history as a litigating attorney employed by several law firms in the Washington, D.C. area. He loved to talk, and often said that he learned to speak and present himself well because of the training he received early in life at the Kingdom Ministry School. He traveled the world for Finnegan, Henderson, Faralow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, litigating intellectual property law. His last employment was with the law firm of Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz LLP where he traveled from the east coast to the west coast and all around Europe with the main stop in Germany, litigating. He established his own law firm in 2010 called, BLYoung Law in Towson, Maryland. Bryant lived a very simple life in his later years. Bryant had a wonderful sense of humor and was a loving, giving and kind person. He leaves to mourn a devoted mother, Valinda; two stand-by-me brothers, Gordon and Kevin; a lovely sister-in-law, Desiree; pretty nieces, Anyia and Charnise; nephews, Kevin (Tyler), Kameron, Kyle; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bryant will truly be missed!
