James Scott, age 86, of Poetry, Texas passed away September 8, 2019. He was born June 1, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to James Allen Scott Sr. and Hattielee (Barnes) Scott.
James was a good man. He would give up anything for his family. He was a Dallas firefighter for 30 years. He was strong and hard-working.
Survived by his wife of 68 years: Doris Scott; daughters: Debi Greenfield and Vickie Giddings; grand children, great-grand children and sister: Delores Harrell. Preceded in death by his son: Randy Allen Scott and his parents.
A graveside service will be held September 12, 2019 at Chisholm Cemetery. Rest Haven Funeral Home.
