Quimby

Patricia Ann Quimby, 56, Mayetta, died May 31, 2005, at her home.

She was born Feb. 27, 1949 in St. Joseph, Mo., the daughter of Melvin and Lillian Howard Gardner. She graduated in 1967 from Craig High School in Craig, Mo. Mrs. Quimby was a homemaker. She also worked as a claims processor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Topeka for 10 years.
She married Ray Quimby on July 22, 1967, in Craig, Mo. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Frank Quimby and wife Rhonda, Hoyt; a daughter, Barbara Shields and husband Cory, Holton; two sisters, Martha Smith, of St. Joseph, Mo., and Alice Plummer and husband Kenny, Forest City, Mo.; a brother, Butch Gardner and wife Susan, Louisville, Neb.; and six grandchildren, Zachery, Joshua and Nathan Shields, Chris and Haley Nocktonick and Dalton Quimby.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jesse Gardner. Services for Mrs. Quimby were held June 3 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in Brick Cemetery southeast of Holton.
