Dennis R. Golden, 72, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday 17 Sept. 2019, at his home. A celebration of life will be 12 - 4 p.m. Sunday at M's on 4th, 1021 - 4th St. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson - Berger Northside Chapel.
Dennis was born 21 Feb. 1947, in Sioux City, to George & Eileen (Thompson) Golden. He grew up in Mapleton, Iowa & Sioux City.
On 17 Mar. 1967 he married Donna Heck in Sioux City. They made their home in Sioux City. To this union 3 daughters were born.
Dennis was a businessman. He owned & operated Golden Auto Sales with his brother, Gary for 30+ years. He then ran 4 Star Auto by himself until retirement.
Dennis enjoyed playing cards, traveling & watching westerns. He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed being outdoors & will always be remembered wearing a dress shirt, dress pants & Old Spice cologne. Dennis was always willing to help others. He helped several people start their own business.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 52 years, Donna; daughters, Wendy (Daron) Jacobson & their daughter, Tara (Josh) & their son, Cameron, Melissa Golden & her children, Zach & Eli & Denise Houts (Malon) & her children, Jace & Zoey & their father, Thomas Houts all of Sioux City; brothers, Gary (Judy) Golden of Sioux City & Jim (Linda) Golden of St. Josephs, MO.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
