Nina Pearl Hartman Sherman, age 88 of Moorefield, WV, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born on March 8, 1931 in Purgitsville, WV, she was a daughter of the late Osa Hartman and Lula Davy Hartman. Nina was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John Mitchell Sherman, Sr. in December 2018, as well as three sisters and seven brothers.
She is survived by her son, John Mitchell Sherman, Jr. of Moorefield, WV and one brother, Richard Hartman (Shelvy), also of Moorefield, WV.
Mrs. Sherman was a homemaker, and was a member of the Methodist Church and the Romney High School Class of 1949.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Harold George officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.
She is survived by her son, John Mitchell Sherman, Jr. of Moorefield, WV and one brother, Richard Hartman (Shelvy), also of Moorefield, WV.
