Glenda Ann Sullivan, 77, of Metropolis, died peacefully in her daughter’s home in Sherwood, AR on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.

Glenda was born and raised in Metropolis, IL. She graduated from Metropolis High School in 1960. Over the years, she along with her husband, Floyd, owned several businesses which included an upholstery shop, Victorian Rose Gift Shop, Northside market, and Friends and Company Flea Market. She was an active member of the community participating in numerous organizations such as New Frontiers homemakers, Historical society, Garden Club, Save the Massac, and was a founding member of the Project Hope animal shelter. One of their favorite things to do together was take road trips all over the continental United States, but she particularly enjoyed traveling throughout the state of Arizona. While traveling, they loved to frequent flea markets, antique shops, and explore nature’s most beautiful landscapes.
