Kathryn D. Garrison, age 69, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, entered into the arms of Jesus on December 5, 2012 at her home.
Kathy was born April 20, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to Clifford and Virginia (Anderson) Sorensen. She was baptized as an infant at First Christian in Clarkston, Washington. She was confirmed as an adult April 16, 1967 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pecatonica, Illinois. Kathy married David Ray Garrison on November 8, 1961 and together they had four children.
Most of Dave and Kathy’s married life was spent in Winnebago, Illinois. Kathy worked as a bookkeeper for Winnebago County, Special Education Aid, Medical Coder and other various jobs to help with the family finances. Many weekends were spent camping and boating with Dave and their four children. Kathy was a giving and caring person. She spent many hours doing volunteer work: Girl Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, helping at church wherever needed and even taking care of children in need. During their retirement time together they enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Texas with friends and family.
Her love and joy was spending time with her family – children: Sue (Tim) Tatro, Chris (Paul) Krentz, Ken (Monique Cherrier) Garrison, Julie (Timothy) Trowbridge and grandchildren: Jonathan, Jordan & Jennifer Krentz and Emily & Zachary Trowbridge.
We give thanks and praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the new life given to Kathryn in heaven. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.
A family memorial service was held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin on Sunday, December 9, 2012.
