Allison's wife, Olive May was first married to George W. Smith, identified as Allison's cousin on the 1930 census in Sacramento County, California. The couple and Smith's cousin, Allison, were residing together. George W. Smith's identity other than what existed on the 1930 Census is not known.

Olive May Allison was found by a Superior Court Jury in her trial for the killing of John William Allison to be insane. She was not imprisoned for this incident.

No Find A Grave memorial has been located for Olive May Allison, but an Olive Allison, b. born July 25, 1883 in Iowa was identified on the California Death Index as having died in Los Angeles County in Dec. 16, 1950. The CADI listed her mother's maiden name as Needham and her father's name as Roberts.
