Obituary for Patricia Brower

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and beloved friend, Pat Brower, age 77, on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, due to complications resulting from dementia.

Pat is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clifford Brower; sons, Edward A., Daniel J. (Marusy), Michael D. (Carla), Kenneth C., Jonathan D., and daughter Jennifer D. Jones (Ben); 5 grandsons, 8 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren; brothers Arthur (Jan) Bronson and Sid (Maria) Bronson; sisters, Dorothy (Bob) Martin and Elaine (Doug) Schnebly of Boise, Idaho and Dorothy of Walla Walla, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Bronson family lived in New Meadows, Idaho where Pat attended all 12 years of school.

After graduation, she lived with her grandmother in Ogden, Utah and worked at Thiokol for a time.

The family moved from Idaho to Wyoming, then to Whiteriver, Arizona.

While in Arizona, she was called on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by the President of the Southwest Indian Mission, where she served on the Indian Reservations of New Mexico and Arizona from 1964 to 1965.

Pat attended BYU on an academic scholarship where she was reacquainted with Cliff, who also served in the SWIM Mission in 1962 to 1964.

Pat and Cliff married in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple.

They raised their family in California and Nevada, moving to Provo, Utah in 2007.

Pat Taught piano lessons for many years in her home. Music and her immense faith were her life’s calling.

She could play by both note and ear.

She played in a band with her father in New Meadows for several years; he affectionately called her Trish.

Pat also wrote and published several articles which were published in the Improvement Era, Ensign, and Children’s Friend.

Every article she submitted was published without a single rejection.

Pat was a very charismatic and caring person.

She never met a stranger and had a very deep love for her church family as well as her own family.

She was loved by many and was known to be always serving in some capacity in the church.

Her heart was as big as her love of the Gospel.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 20th, at 11:00 am, at the Highland 22nd Ward building, 9621 North 6050 West, Highland, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 21st, at 11:00 am at the Riverview Cemetery, West of Firth, Idaho.

Friends and family are invited to a gathering following the services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 744 North 600 East, Firth, Idaho.
