He was born in Airville, Texas to parents Homer and Birdie (Phillips) Stephenson on May 29, 1941.

Edward graduated from Rogers High School and later went on to attend The University of Houston where he received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering.

He married the love of his life, Charliene Marie (Harrison) Stephenson on January 15, 1966, just celebrating 53 beautiful years together. Edward had a career as a Civil Project Engineer for Dow Chemical.

He always had a passion for his family and nothing came first other than them. He is survived by his wife Charliene Stephenson, his daughter Lisa Michele Cunningham, his son Shawn Michael Stephenson, and his only grandchild Chase Cunningham of whom he was so proud, and his sister Glenda Pechal.

Earthman Resthaven Funeral Directors in Houston had charge of arrangements.
