The body of Melville Egleston, Williams alumnus, former Williamstown resident and one-time general counsel of the American Telephone & Telegraph company was buried in the family lot in the College cemetery. Members of Mr. Egleston's family from Elizabeth, New Jersey, where he died following a long illness, accompanied the body to North Adams. Members of the Williams chapter of Delta Psi fraternity, with which Mr. Egleston was affiliated, acted as bearers. The grave is located next to that of Mr. Egleston's wife. Funeral services were held in Elizabeth the previous afternoon.
