Carl "Junior" Caldwell, 97, of Portis, KS passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Parkview Care Center in Osborne, KS. Carl was born to Carl Douglas & Alma (Thompson) Caldwell in Portis, KS. on May 20, 1921. He was one of several children.
Junior graduated from high school in 1939 from Portis High School, Portis, KS. and served in the U. S. Army during WWII.
Junior married Roma Pletcher and to this union 3 children were born. He was a farmer/cattleman in the Portis area and was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Portis, KS.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Marvin & Keith. He is survived by his wife, Roma; daughters: Dee Anna (David) Neely of Indio, CA; Linda (Brent) Doane & Carol Noel, both of Portis; sister: Carolyn Kaser of Portis; 7 grandchildren & 21 great-grandchildren.
