He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized in Pilgrim Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Sam Shade Jr.
He graduated from Northside High School, where he was very active in sports, in 1987. He was currently attending Ashland College in Ashland, Ohio, and he was outstanding member of the track team.
He leaves to mourn his passing: his mother, Willie Mae Warren, of Fort Wayne; his father, Robert Hawkins, of Fort Wayne; one sister, Robin Greene, of Indianapolis, Indiana; four brothers, Ricardo Hawkins, of Detroit, Michigan, and Hollis Hayden, Taurean Hayden and Shawn Cleveland, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; six uncles; 10 aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends.
