"Published in the Piscataquis (ME) Observer 13 Apr 1876 p2: "The Press says that Josiah Harding, a much esteemed citizen of Rockport, aged about 60 years, was instantly killed at that place Wednesday afternoon by being crushed between a building being moved across a bridge and the rail of the bridge, hurled to the rocks beneath, a distance of twenty feet. He leaves a wife and large family."
