Carla Jean Ogden passed away, September 17, 2019 in Murray, at age 74. Carla was the oldest daughter of Carl Foy and Jean Marie Sperry Ogden. She was born January 12, 1945 in Richfield. She was a cherished aunt to the Hepners: Brian Andrew, Weston Stuart, Sheldon Gregory, Terrance Lindsay, and Ceira Jeanne; and the Morgans: Carl Steven, Jennifer Marie, Laura Ashley, Elisha Dione, and Genevieve Renee. She never forgot their birthday card or birthday dinner.

She enjoyed music all her life, playing piano when accompanying friends, singing groups and her ward choir. Carla’s organ and violin talents were a source of enjoyment for her. She also enjoyed genealogy, gardening and went swimming every week for exercise.

She held various callings in the Primary and Relief Society and never turned down an opportunity to give service. Her neighbors and family each tell stories of her thoughtfulness and kindness. She spoke French on her mission and later studied Russian. She retired as an executive secretary.

She is survived by her sisters: Kathleen (Jim) Hepner and Sandra Kaye (Morris) Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents Foy and Marie Ogden.

A memorial service will be held September 21, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in Edgehill Ward Chapel, 1500 East, Blaine Avenue, Salt Lake City.
