1929-1938 • Topeka, He attended Dawson Grade School, Oakland Grade School, East Indianola Grade School and Holiday Jr. high school.
About 1942, graduated from Seaman High School.

Charles was baptized 23 Sept 1923, Wilson County, Kansas.

1938-1941 • Topeka, worked in vegetable farms.
1942 worked for Morrell Packing Company and was a hospital orderly at Security Benefit Hospital in Topeka.

15 Mar 1943, Military Occupational Specialist (Company clerk) in the first sergeant's office of the 28th medical depot. Discharged 13 Mar 1946.

Sept 1946 enrolled in Washburn University Topeka, Kansas. Graduated 9 Jan 1949.

Visitation will be held from noon until 8 p.m., Monday, September 23 at Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home, Axtell with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service is 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 24 at Salem Lutheran Church, Axtell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home.
