A retired carpenter at DuPont and living at 1109 Berry Street in Old Hickory, Davidson County, he was 66 years old and married when he died of a cerebral hemorrhage on July 29, 1954 at Madison Sanitarium & Hospital. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
