Frances Kathy Harvey, 69, of Prosperity passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019.
Born March 15, 1950 at Arnett, Wv, she was the daughter of the late Loney rex and Frances Jeanette Webb Sarrett.
Kathy was a receptionist at Beckley Veterinary Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Thornton and her husband Russell of Raleigh, WV; grandchildren, Kayleigh and River Thornton; brother, John Russell Sarrett and wife Bonita their daughter Savannah and her daughter Cally of Arnett.
Kathy worked in the medical field both human and animal for over 35 + years. She loved working with public and they in return showed their appreciation with bringing her special gifts especially from the garden. She loved the beach and floating in the ocean and soaking up the sunshine. She loved mowing and keeping up her property then enjoyed the view while floating in the pool. Kathy never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and people just enjoyed being in her company because she was always happy and kept a positive attitude. She was just one of a kind and not only beautiful on the outside but on the in. She loved her animals and always had 4-legged creatures around her at all times from dogs, cats, and even the nightly raccoon and possum visits. But more than anything she loved her family and spending time with them from trips to Myrtle Beach, the yearly Sternwheel Regatta trip to just a simple evening on the porch talking with family and neighbors. The light of her eyes though was her daughter and 2 grandchildren. She was at every ballgame and performance yelling and cheering them on. She loved going to the river with them and even the nightly wrestling matches on the floor or back yard trampoline She made sure they knew how much she loved them and always kissed and hugged them tight. Her time here was too short but during the life she did have she made sure to enjoy the little things.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor R.D. Tolliver officiating.
