Georgia Mae Miller, age 64, of Irvington, KY, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. Georgia was born June 4, 1955 in Hardinsburg, KY to the late Junior Lee Gootee and Nettie Mae Miller.
Her brothers, Thomas and Sam Gootee and sister, Linda Shaw also preceded her in death.
Georgia was a hard worker and helped run the G & R Sanitation business with her husband for many years. She loved being outdoors especially when collecting ginseng and arrowheads.
She is survived by her husband, Richard O. Miller of Irvington; children: Roberta “Cookie” (Roger) Frye of Rineyville, KY, Robert Horton of Garfield, KY, Tammy Tooker (Keven Zeller) of Garfield, Dallas (Kristi) Miller of Irvington, and Richard “Mikey” Miller of Irvington; sister, Maggie Ammons of Bewleyville, KY; brothers, Francis Lee Gootee of Irvington and Jack Gootee of Harned, KY; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Thomas) Gootee of Cloverport, KY; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM EDT from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington, KY with burial to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Stephensport, KY. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM EDT and Thursday after 8:00 AM at the funeral home.
