It is with great sadness that the family of Freda Harris Brown, announce her passing on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the age of 85. Mrs. Brown was born in Bremen, AL. in 1934 to Sherman and Levis Sandlin Harris, who have preceded her in death.

She and her late husband of 65 years; Buell Roy Brown, were lifelong members of Gardendale First Baptist Church. She loved her family and devoted her life to being a homemaker. She was especially smitten with her grandkids and great grandkids. She was an incredible cook and was known for her fried pies. She always enjoyed working in her flower garden.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons: Farris (Nancy) Brown of Gardendale, AL., Jeffrey Brown of Bremen, AL. and Roger (Kim) Brown of Goodwater, AL.; Grandchildren: Jennifer Brown (Philip) Potts and Christopher Allen (Anna) Brown; Great Grandchildren: Madee and Gabi Potts, Cayden and Jackson Brown and sisters: Leta Mae Harris Rottenberry of Trussville, AL., Nina Elizabeth Harris Phillips of Bremen and Carolyn Harris Dooley of Bremen.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Freda Brown will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Moss Service Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m. with burial to immediately follow at Cold Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Moss Service Funeral Home Directing.
