Rachel H. White, 94, Marion, passed away at 11:27 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Clinton, Arkansas, on Tuesday, March 31, 1925, to Charles and Eula (Thompson) Robinson. On April 29, 1969, she married her loving husband, William White, and they shared nearly 30 years together before he preceded her in death on February 2, 1999.

Rachel proudly graduated from LaSalle High School. She was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. She worked at General Tire for many years where she later retired. Rachel loved fishing, cooking, and working in her flower garden. She always liked to entertain and was quick to tell jokes. She also enjoyed learning new things with the younger generations. Most of all, she was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. "One thing she always believed in was God and, if family was a treasure, He honored her well."

Survivors include her four daughters, Lillie Moore, Juanita Powers, Bertha Smith, and Barbara Andrews, all of Marion; son, Marvin (Janice) Moore of Oakland, CA; sister, Quillie Bobo of Chicago; five grandsons, Rodney Webb, Reginald Moore, Peter Morrell, Charles Lamont Moore, and Nehemiah Smith; four granddaughters, Regina Churchill, A'Jaysa Smith, Tasha Smith, and Rachelle Andrews; four great-grandsons, John-Jonne Smith, Antonio Churchill, Andre Churchill, and Conner Moore; and seven great-granddaughters, JaNaesya Smith, Jera'Myiah Smith, Toya Churchill, Micaela Moore, Campbell Moore, Emerson Moore, and Riley Moore.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Archie Moore and Tommie Smith.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Trinity Victory Baptist, 2001 S. Gallatin St., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Rachel's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Stanford Bolden officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.
