Billy Jean “Squeak” Perry, 85 of Gilbert, WV departed this life on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Trinity Nursing Home at Henlawson, WV. Squeak was a member of the Hanover Missionary Baptist Church at Hanover, WV.  She absolutely loved playing the piano and singing, both of which she did beautifully.  She enjoyed watching her son and grandchildren play football, basketball and racing. 

Squeak was born on February 15, 1934 in Roderfield, WV to the late Forrest Lafayette West (1910-1968) and Jessie Dillon-West (1913-Deceased). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Ira Hoover Perry (1932-1998) whom she married on July 10, 1954 in Roderfield, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1954, Page 436, Application Date: July 6, 1954); a daughter, Rhonda Perry-Maynor (1955-2016); a son, Bryon Perry Sr. (Deceased); and son-in-law: Lanny Darrell Maynor (1947-2013).

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her passing include her son, Clark Perry & wife Melissa Perry of Man; grandchildren, Cameron Perry of Man, DJ Glasscock & wife Cindi Glasscock of Gilbert, April Adkins & husband Adam Adkins of Frankfort, KY, Josh Maynor of Beckley, Stephanie Harrison & husband Terry Harrison of Gilbert, Bryon Perry Jr. of Raleigh, NC, and Jessica Fallon Perry of Raleigh, NC; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Tommy West of Dayton, OH, Ronald West of Premier, WV, Joe West of Dayton, OH, Buddy Jones of South Charleston, WV; sisters: Velma Lucian of Davy, WV, Wanda Kay Tremble of OH; many  nieces and nephews; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Hanover Missionary Baptist Church from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will commence at 7:00 pm with the Rev. Jackie Lester officiating. Squeak will be cremated after the services.
