Funeral services for Mr. Walter Gust Burke, age 98, will be on Thursday December 28, 2017 at 2 pm in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt with military honors. Visitation with the family will be Thursday December 28, 2017 from 11 am until 2 pm at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home.
Mr. Burke, a credit manager for J. Hungerford Smith, member of Concordia Lutheran Church and World War II US Army veteran, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at McKenzie Healthcare and Rehab.
Mr. Burke is survived by a daughter Peggy Espey of McKenzie, TN; a son David and wife Anne Burke of Jackson, TN; a sister Vera Peters of Cleveland, OH; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
