Barbara Bates Caldwell of Richmond passed away on September 15, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital Hospice in Lexington.
She was born In Berea, Kentucky on May 3, 1945 to the late John A. and Dorothy McCollum Caldwell. She graduated from Madison Central High School and Eastern Kentucky University. She taught freshman English at Madison Central for 33 years.
She is survived by her siblings, Anita Carol Roberts and John K. Caldwell both of Richmond. Other survivors include her uncle and aunt Lowell and Mary Ann McCollum along with numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be 1PM, Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Richard McCollum and Rev. John Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Paint Lick Cemetery at Manse. Visitation will be from 11am until 1pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Katie Rollins, Vonda Bratcher, Steve McCollum, Aaron McCollum, Ethan McCollum, Lora Haddix, and Eddie Adams. Burial in the Old Paint Lick Cemetery on Manse Road, Paint Lick, Ky.
