Harvey Wilson, 82, passed away September 15, 2019. He was born August 7, 1937 in Frost, Texas to Auda and Nonie Wilson.
He attended Milford High School and graduated in 1955. Harvey was united in marriage to Barbara Wilson on September 1, 1956. After that he worked for Dallas Power and Light Co. in Dallas for 2 years. Harvey then attended Texas Wesleyan in Fort Worth and earned his B.S. Degree in 1962 and later also attended ETSU in Commerce, Texas in 1968. He earned his administrative certification in 1970 and began teaching in Italy, Texas in 1962: Principal at Keller Elementary and Junior High School in 1968. He was the high school principal at Van Alstyne in 1972, Superintendent at ERA ISD in 1979, Superintendent director and principal at Hillsboro ISD in 1981 and Superintendent at Itasca ISD in 1985. Harvey retired from education in 1996.
Preceded in death by his father, Auda Wilson, mother, Nonie Wilson, sister, Nonie Catherine Cook and daughter, Monica WIlson. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Wilson; children, Richard Wilson, sister, Vida Kay Long, 5 grand children and 3 great-grand children.
Funeral services will be September 18, 2019 at the Salem-Irene Cemetery in Irene, Texas...M_M
