HAROLD FOWLER, at the age of 82, passed into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, on August 28th, 2019, soon after sunrise.

He is survived by his wife Enid, their children, grand-children, great-grand children, and a vast family of Spiritual Brothers and Sisters from numerous tongues and nations
.
On May the 7th 1937, Harold was born to Willis H. Fowler and Rita Fowler, while they were attending Johnson Bible College in Knoxville Tennessee. Raised by a christian family in a spiritual environment, Harold grew up studying the Bible and loved Evangelism and church planning.

In 1961, Harold was granted a theological degree in New Testament from Ozark Christian College where he started teaching Greek and Hebrew languages to better understand original biblical scriptures.

On January 16th, 1964, Harold and Enid Fowler decided to move to Italy with their children to begin their life-long journey as missionaries which lasted several decades and was graciously blessed. Harold's exceptional knowledge of the Italian language led to a unique ministry. He got involved in developing a publishing ministry in Italian by writing Bible study textbooks, full commentaries on Acts, Revelation, Hebrews and 1 and 2 Peter. In addition, he published three books of sermons for use by preachers in the local Italian churches. Harold translated "One Body" which is a book-length monograph promoting Christian unity. Furthermore, College Press published a four-volume set of commentaries in English on Matthew.

In recent years, Harold translated two distinguished books into Italian by other authors and collaborated with other colleagues to publish and distribute them to congregations throughout Italy.

Harold has written scores of detailed studies targeting specific topics requested by Italian leaders, and spent countless hours mentoring fellow believers.

The family rejoices in Harold's Christian legacy. His work and life will indeed leave an everlasting imprint for years to come.

Our family is deeply thankful for all the greetings, stories and blessings of all who knew Harold.
