Patricia Louise Elaine Coen, MD
Patricia Louise Elaine Coen M.D., passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2008 at her residence in Lancaster, PA.
She was born in Denver, CO and was the daughter of Paul E. Coen and the late Louise E. (Foreman) Coen.
Patricia received her B.S. from Colorado College, Colorado Springs, CO. She then entered and graduated Medical School at the University of Colorado, Denver, CO and she received her Doctor of Medicine from Penn State University, State College, PA.
Patricia operated her own practice in Lancaster City. She was Past President of the American Diabetes Association, Lancaster Chapter.
She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She had a great affection for all animals and especially her cats.
She is survived by her father Paul of Englewood, CO; a sister Pamela married to James McGuire of Silverthorne, CO and a brother Stephen Coen married to Alice, of Kodiak, Alaska.
Colleagues, patients, and friends of Dr. Coen are invited to attend a service of remembrance and thanksgiving at 3:00pm on Sunday, July 13th in the St. Peter Chapel (downstairs) of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Queen and James Streets, Lancaster, PA offered by Pastor Stephen P. Verkouw. Refreshments and time to visit with family and friends will follow the service. Arrangements made by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 717-393-9661.
