Lillian R. Adams, 96, of Mount Savage, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at home surrounded by her family.
Born on Jan. 21, 1923, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Albert Charles and Lucy Mae (Frankenberry) Rice.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Johnstone "Scotchy" Adams; brothers, Albert "Nip" Rice, of Corriganville, and Clarence "Buck" Rice, of White Lake, Mich.; sister, Helen Smith, of Frostburg; and son-in-law, Bernard Robison, of Mount Savage.
Lillian was a member of the Mount Savage United Methodist Church. Her family was her world, and her grandchildren were her life. She loved to read and cook, and she loved her tomatoes. There was always a smile on her face.
Surviving are children, Judy Ann Robison, Mount Savage, and William Johnstone "Billy" Adams Jr. and wife, Betty, Barboursville; grandchildren, Scott Mallery and wife, Krystal, Todd Mallery, William A. Adams and wife, Kelly, and Daniel S. Adams and wife, Nancy; great-grandchildren, Nicole Davies and husband, Nic, Addison Dayton and husband, Jonathon, Colby Mallery, Damian Adams and wife, Trang, and Carson Adams; sister, Jessie Robinette, Wellersburg; and family members, Bernard Robison and wife, Brenda, David W. Robison and wife, Hope, R. Chad and Jason Robison.
In accordance with her wishes, Lillian was cremated.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorial services will be held at Durst Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Nicolas Davies officiating.
Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mount Savage.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lil's honor may be made towards Aging and Family Services, 875 S. Mineral St., Keyser WV 26726.
