Daughter of William Ewing and Pansy Sloan Hill, wife of Robert Grant Price.

COLUMBIA - Ann Carol Hall Price died Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was born September 9, 1939 , in Florence, South Carolina, and was the daughter of the late William Ewing and Pansy Sloan Hall of Marion, South Carolina, where she grew up as a child.

Mrs. Price graduated from Marion High in 1957. She was president of her senior class as well as editor of the school yearbook. During her high school years she also played in the Florence Symphony Orchestra and was presented in a senior recital in piano. She obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano and Music History from Converse College in 1961. At Converse she was Editor-in-Chief of the College yearbook, the Y's and Otherwise, selected as "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities", and performed in both the Converse Chorus as well as the Spartanburg Symphony Orchestra. She was tapped as a member of Pi Kappa Lambda for academic excellence, and won three times the Dorothy Cornelia Matheny award for having the highest grades in her music classes.

Mrs. Price obtained a Master of Education degree from the University of South Carolina in 1980 and founded The Price Group: Educational Planning Services, which she continued until her retirement in 2007.

Ann Carol is survived by Robert Grant Price, her beloved husband of 54 years; son, Robert Grant (Sophie Rebecca) Price of Halifax, VA; daughter, Ann Sloan of Black Mountain, NC; brother, William Ewing (Linda) Hall, Jr. of Chapin; and 5 granddaughters.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 Thursday in the family plot at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
