Betty J. Hancock, 83, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. She was born in Potomac, MD on January 27, 1935 to Frances and Lewis Bolton. Lewis, her husband of 46 years, passed away on May 4, 1995. She was a loving mother of one and a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and aunt. Her smile was heartwarming. She loved to play cards and dance. She was preceded in death by many sisters, brothers and a very special nephew. She is survived by a son, Ron Harris and his wife Patti of Waldorf, MD. She is also survived by a sister, Estelle of Ijamsville, MD., many nieces and nephews and by a large extended family and many friends who loved her very much. Visitation will be held at the Glenview Mansion, 603 Edmonston dr Rockville MD, 20851 on Saturday, February 10. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville MD. Contributions can be made in the memory of Betty to any Hospice or Lung Cancer research. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
