Doris A. Patterson, 90, formerly of Niagara, Wisc., passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, at her daughters’ home.

She was born July 11, 1929, in Keosauqua, Iowa, daughter to the late James and Jessie (Binkley) Brown.

Doris married Herbert Patterson, August 24, 1948, at the Union Protestant Church parsonage in Niagara, he preceded her in death on November 4, 2005. They resided for over 50 years in the town of Niagara; they moved to Pembine in December 1999. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church of Niagara.

Doris enjoyed gardening, cooking, farming, puzzles, games, her family, and her special cat “Clancy.”

She is survived by one son Michael Patterson (Mary Spera), Niagara; two daughters Ember (Rick) Rickaby of McAllister, Wisc., Myrna (James) Malone of Hermansville, Mich.; six grandchildren Scott Rickaby, Hubertus, Wisc., Ricky (Nicole) Rickaby, Crivitz, Wisc., Benjamin (Lisa) Patterson, Niagara, Wisc., Desiree (John) Gray, Mount Horeb, Wisc., Christopher (Brianna) Patterson, Green Bay, Wisc., Sara Walters, Niagara, Wisc.; fifteen great-grandchildren Austin, Taylor, Nicholas, Alastair, Callum, Connor, Brooke, Aengus, Abain, Akir, Alec, Raquel, Natalie, Lily, and Jorah; many step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren; one brother Carl (Sandy) Brown, Pembine, Wisc.; seven sisters Barbara Anderson, Pembine, Wisc., Viola Walker, Wausaukee, Wisc., Ramona Barker, Florida, Lily (Chet) Larsen, Florence, Wisc., Laverne Larsen, Kenosha, Wisc., Elizabeth (Dave) Salerno, Kenosha, Gail Pogue, Kenosha, Wisc.; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Herbert, Doris is preceded in death by four brothers James Lee, Robert, Kenneth, Raymond Brown; one granddaughter-in-law Christine.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at Riverside United Methodist Church, Niagara, Wisc. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 AM, at the church. Pastor Henry Yoap will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wisc.
