Marilyn A. Hayes, 85, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Johnson Christian Village.
Born February 26, 1934 in Bedford, Indiana, she was the daughter of Dale (Betty) Miller and Frances (Baugh) Miller. Her mother passed at a young age and she was raised by her grandmother, Wilma Baugh.
She married J. Frank Hayes September 1, 1951 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2010.
Marilyn was a homemaker and devoted mother. She was a Bedford High School graduate Class of 1951 and a very proud Bedford High School Stonecutter.
Surviving are her children, Cathy (Pat) Goodin of Bedford, Kim (Danny) Hall of Bedford, J.D. (Beth) Hayes of Bedford; nine grandchildren, Natalie Buente of Louisville, Justin Goodin of Plainfield, Shannon Spires of Bedford, Nathan Hall of Martinsville, Lauren Simpson of Nashville, TN, Baron Hall, of Bedford, Alex Crane of Bedford, Wil Hayes of Bedford, Anna Hayes of Bedford; 13 great-grandchildren, Marilyn and Benjamin Buente, Carter and Ella Goodin, Mason, Max and Madalyn Spires, Dylan and Lucy Hall, Sophie and Blake Simpson, Velora and Pierson Hall; as well as several special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and step-mother Betty Miller.
A private family burial was held at Green Hill Cemetery per Marilyn’s request.
