Cody Scott Reynolds

APRIL 19, 1994 ~ SEPTEMBER 8, 2019

AGE 25

Our tears are many and our grief is great, for heaven received another beautiful soul on Sunday, September 8th, 2019. Cody Scott Reynolds left this world far too soon to rejoin his family above to finally find the peace he’d sought for so long.

Born in Goldsboro, North Carolina on April 19, 1994, he was a strong and brave kid and a kind adult. He was only twenty-five when he passed from this leg of his personal journey to start his next grand adventure. We find peace in knowing that Cody was greeted with warm, loving arms when he rejoined his family.

Cody was a kind-hearted soul and loved so many people in his time on earth. His love will forever be an example in our hearts. He loved all children and always strived to pay attention to them because he believed they deserved someone who’d listen. He loved his mother, and he was close to and loved both his brothers dearly. His life was challenging and filled with trials, but every time he saw the people he loved, Cody would do all he could to make them smile.

His favorite pastime was reading. His love for books was nearly as great as his Grandpa Bateman. His favorite stories were fantasy fiction and he devoured them whenever he could. His books were treasures to him, and just like the adventurers in the stories he cherished, his friends/companions were his heart.

“Because everything of value that we will know in this life comes from our relationships with those around us. Because there is nothing material that measures against the intangibles of love and friendship.” Drizzt Do’urden-Passage to Dawn

Cody was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Ranae Bateman and his paternal grandfather James Earl Reynolds. He is survived by his mother Amy Bateman Daley & her husband Darrin; his father James Scott Reynolds; His siblings Zachary Troy Reynolds, Wyatt Dean Rasmussen, Makayla Christine Dawkins; step-siblings Trevor Wayne Daley, Zachery Dustin Daley, Taysha Marie Daley; Paternal Grandmother, Sue Ellen Holms (Mike); step-grandparents Beverly and Leo Dayley; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many more friends.

An end of life celebration will be held Saturday, September 14th, 2019 at Fox Point In Old Farm, 514 E 4090 South, Salt Lake City Utah 84107. The celebration will be held in the clubhouse from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Please come in your casual dress because that was Cody’s favorite way to be. Come join us to share your stories and love for Cody.
