Marie was the daughter of Joseph Austin and Lucy Elvira (Adams) Hayes was born near Lynchburg, MO. She was married to William (Bill) Lankford on February 27, 1970.
Marie Lived most of her life in the Mountain Grove area. She was a loving wife, mother and daughter. Marie never gave birth, but was a "mother" to all children and loved dearly as "Aunt Rea" by all her nieces and nephews and all who knew her. She had a great sense of humor and loved family and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Mtn. Grove; one son, Gene Lankford of Grove Springs, MO; two daughters, Debra Allman of Mt. Vernon, AL and Wanda Trechler of Bement, IL; four sisters, Wilma Shaw, Ava, MO, Alma Hodges, Ft. Worth, TX, Pearl Moore of Mtn. Grove and Mearl Moore of Norwood, MO; six grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
