Clara Gale lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed helping and loving on people. She loved a good laugh and carrying on with her closest friends. She never met a stranger and always put others ahead of herself. She was an active, born again Christian and faithfully attended Lone Oak Baptist Church. Gale devoted her best to her job and co-workers at Caterpillar where she worked in maintenance until her retirement in December of 2010.

She started her life in school at Gift and finished at Kossuth. Granny, the cake lady, loved baking cakes for the Corinth Fire Departments, doctor’s offices, Tri-green John Deere and charitable organizations like the Corinth Civitan’s. She was also a devoted gardener who loved to share her blooms and seeds with everyone. Clara could always be seen at Lowes in the garden center looking for a bargain or just visiting with the crew while getting her walking in. She loved working in her yard taking care of her flowers.

Clara Gale loved the outdoors, camping at Piney Grove, boating at Pickwick, deer hunting with her son, Eddie Joe, planting food plots, checking her trail cameras or just riding her John Deere. Her passion was loving on and spoiling her great grands, Sophie and Adalaide, who knew her as GMAW. As she said very often, “they caught my eye and my heart”.

Those left to honor Clara’s memory include: son, Eddie Joe Davis and wife Angie of Corinth; 3 grandchildren: Bridgett Dixon, McKinley Stewart (Daniel) & Mallory Ragan; 2 great granddaughters and the loves of her life: Ella Sophia Lambert and Adalaide Jane Stewart; other relatives and a host of friends.
