James Randall Pickens passed from this life on September 9, 2019 in Denison, Texas at the age of 62. He was born August 26, 1957 to James Pickens and Barbara (Stanley) Pickens in Flora, Illinois.

James was a resident of Southeast Oklahoma for 26 years, where he enjoyed being an outdoorsman, doing things like hunting and fishing. He loved his grandkids very much. He would often hide candy from them and spend their time together telling them stories. James would often talk his wife and grandkids into giving him massages.

He served in the Navy (Marines) as a special operations sniper for 6 years until wounded in Beirut. James was a very honorable, loyal, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Barbara Pickens Stanley; and grandparents: Lyle McKinney, Ina Stanley, Dave Deloache, and Raymond and Cora Pickens.

James is survived by his wife: Barbara Pickens; children: Camden Pickens, Brandon Davis, April Pickens, John Cravins, Cody Cravins, and Brandon Cravins; grandparents: brothers: Nick and Tooter Pickens; father: James Pickens; nieces and nephews: Lee, Brian, Stephanie, Cora, and Madison Pickens; grandchildren: Cadence Robert Pickens, Kason James Pickens, Julianna Elizabeth Davis, Lexyee Kaye Davis, Laci LeAnn Heflin, Ashlei Daryn Cravins (Pooh), Chayden Lee Cravins, Cortlyn Augustus Cravins, Kaitlyn McKenzie Cravins, and Cody Kyler Cravins.

A celebration of James' life will be held at Corrine Cemetery.
