Mr. David Edward Thorpe, Sr. was also known as "Candy Man" & "Meat Man." His wife, Mrs. Claudine Hall Thorpe preceded him in death in 1997 and his daughter, Vickie M. Thorpe preceded him in death in 2005. His survivors are: a devoted loved one, Ms. Glynis Davenport; children, Mr. and Mrs. David Edward Thorpe, Jr., Wendy Thorpe (Lamar), Mr. and Mrs. Clayton (Chase) Bolds, Ashley D. Thorpe, John D. Thorpe, and Hanna D. Thorpe; step son, Demarius Wyche; ten grandchildren; three sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
